Electric drum pad.

So iv noticed many drummers live have 1 single electric drum pad hooked up to the kit, usually producing a huge “BOOM” sound. I assume theres a pad and an amp. I didnt know what a cheap but good way of setting something like this up would be, im looking at a roland dual trigger pad as my bad but dont know if i need a brain. Could i just run it through my mac using garage band if so how? and what amp would be best for a low price?

I want to start playing keyboard. I have a small history of playing keys about 6 years ago and haven’t really played since. Any suggestions on equipment to get or books of sheet music or a DVD or anything really to get me started again? I’m basically starting from zero on a tight budget. Thanks!

Noise Suppressor

I have an issue with a hum coming from my amp. I run a Boss NS-2 noise suppressor, which helps, but doesn’t completely get rid of the hum. I tried a ground lift and that didn’t do anything either. Is there a better noise suppressor that would help?

What are the best cymbals to record with?
